How to use this free table tennis bracket generator

The bracket playground lets organizers design draws before match day without spreadsheets or paid software. Pick a format, set player counts and advancing rules, then generate a visual bracket you can click through to simulate results. When you are ready for a real event with registrations and live scores, create a free tournament account and publish from the dashboard.

This tool is built for club nights, house leagues, school events, and open tournaments in Canada and beyond. It supports common table tennis structures: pure knockout, group stage into knockout, round robin, Swiss, and placement brackets for 3rd place and lower half playoffs.

Supported formats

  • Single elimination — classic knockout from round of 16, 32, or custom sizes.
  • Groups + knockout — round-robin pools, then top finishers advance (A1, B2, etc.).
  • Round robin — everyone plays everyone; ideal for small fields of 3–6.
  • Swiss system — pair similar records each round without a full knockout tree.
  • Placement / consolation — keep players active after early losses.

Seeding options

  • Standard seeding — top seeds placed to meet late if they win their halves.
  • Club pattern — spreads strong players across groups the way many GTA clubs do.
  • Top-seed focus — protects the highest seeds more aggressively in early rounds.

Suggested workflow on match day

  1. Confirm the entry list and ratings or club rankings for seeding order.
  2. Choose groups vs pure knockout based on table count and available hours.
  3. Set how many advance from each group (often 1 or 2) and generate the draw.
  4. Walk the bracket once with umpires so table assignments and byes are clear.
  5. For live scoring and public results, move the event into a full tournament on Table Tennis Tube.

Can I print or share a draw?

Use the playground to design and test the structure. Published tournaments get shareable public pages players can open on their phones.

What size fields work best?

Groups of 3–4 with 2 advancing are common for club opens. Pure knockout suits larger fields when table time is limited.
