Ontario’s competitive season is heading into its final major weekend of the year — and it’s landing in Markham with extra significance.
The 2025–26 Season Final, organized by the Ontario Table Tennis Association and hosted by the Canadian Community Table Tennis Association (CCTTA), takes place Saturday, August 15 and Sunday, August 16, 2026. The event also marks CCTTA’s 20th anniversary, with support from Nova Marketing.
If you’re looking for Ontario ranking points, Canadian rating points, or one last high-quality competitive weekend before the season wraps up, this is the event to target.

Sunday, August 16

Entry Fees & Subsidies
- Class B, U15 Boys, U15 Girls: $60
- Open / Class A: $120
Eligible athletes can receive a $60 OTTA subsidy on the Open/Class A fee if they are:
- High Performance (HP) members at the time of the tournament announcement, or
- Active CCTTA members
This can bring the Open/Class A fee down to $60 for qualifying players. Confirm eligibility before registering.
Format
Expect a full day of matches, not a one-and-done draw:
- 14 tables
- Stage 1: Round-robin groups of 3–4 players
- Stage 2: Progressive knockout for every position
- Approximately 4–5 matches per player at full capacity
- All matches best of 5
- Seeding based on the latest available Ontario Ranking List (ORL)
If a category is light on entries, OTTA reserves the right to adjust capacity up to 7 days before the event.
Ranking & Rating Value
This is more than a standard club open:
- Medals for podium finishes
- Ontario Ranking List (ORL) points
- Canadian rating points at the 2-star level
Important note from OTTA: Published categories are for registration purposes only. Final ORL categorization is based on actual participation. For example, a U15 field made up only of younger players may be scored as U13, and a Class B field of only 40+ players may be scored as O40.
Eligibility & Withdrawals
- All participants must be active members of OTTA or another Canadian provincial table tennis association.
Withdrawal refunds:
- 10+ days before the tournament → 100%
- 5–9 days before → 50%
- Less than 5 days → no refund
With the registration deadline on August 12 at 8:00 p.m., don’t leave it to the last minute. Spots are first come, first served.
Why This Weekend Matters
Season Finals are where form is tested and rankings get settled. Hosting the event at CCTTA during the club’s 20th anniversary adds extra weight for the GTA table tennis community — a strong venue, a full schedule across juniors and open/class events, and a clear path to both provincial and national points.
Whether you’re a Class B player grinding for ranking, an Open contender looking for quality matches, or a U15 athlete seeking competitive experience before the school year ramps up, Markham is the place to be mid-August.
